Presenter View

Presenter View turns CueStudio into a clean, large-type display for a presenter or confidence monitor (showing what is playing now, what is next, speaker notes, and clocks) with simple GO/advance control and none of the cue-building tools.

#Entering and exiting

Press ⌃⌘P (or Tools ▸ Presenter View). The whole window switches to the presenter display. Press the same shortcut, or click Exit in the top-right, to return to the normal console. Presenter View works whether or not you are connected in a session.

#Presets

Use the preset menu in the toolbar to start from a ready-made arrangement:

Confidence Monitor: large Now Playing and Next, with notes and a remaining clock.
Cue List: a running cue list with a Now Playing strip and elapsed/remaining clocks.
Notes Focused: maximal speaker notes with a remaining clock.

#Customising the layout

Click Edit Layout to rearrange the screen, PowerPoint-style:

Drag a tile to move it; drag any of the four corner handles to resize from that corner. Tiles snap to a grid when you let go.
Use the panel on the right to add widgets, hide/show them with the eye button, set text size and an accent colour, rename a widget's heading, or remove a widget. "Hide widget labels" at the top sets the default for the whole layout; each widget also has its own Heading visibility control (Layout default / Show / Hide) so you can keep one heading while hiding the rest.
The LAYOUT section at the top of the panel holds Done, Update (one-click re-save of the current saved layout), Save As… and Delete.
Leaving Edit Layout with unsaved changes (via Done, the Edit Layout button, or Exit) asks first: Update the saved layout, Save As… under a new name, Discard, or Cancel to stay in edit mode.

#Saving named layouts

You can build a library of your own layouts and switch between them:

Arrange the display the way you want, then in Edit Layout use Save As… in the LAYOUT section. Give it a name.
Saved layouts appear in the toolbar's layout menu, under Saved Layouts, alongside the built-in presets: click one to load it. A checkmark shows which layout is displayed now.
After changing a saved layout, click Update "name" in the LAYOUT section to overwrite it, or Save As… to make a copy under a new name. The trash button deletes it.
Saved layouts are stored in the show file, so they travel with the show.

#Per-cue layouts

Any cue can switch the presenter display when it fires, so the confidence monitor follows what is happening in the show. Select a cue, open the Extras tab, and under Presenter choose a layout in the "Switch layout on fire" menu (a preset or one of your saved layouts). Choose No change to leave the display as-is. When that cue fires, Presenter View (and the full-screen output) switch to the chosen layout automatically. For example: a Notes Focused layout on a talk cue, then a Program Preview layout on the video that follows it.

Available widgets: Now Playing, Next Cue, Notes / Script, Elapsed Clock, Remaining Clock, Time of Day, a Speaker Timer, a read-only Mini Cue List, a standalone Progress bar, an Image (for a logo or holding slide), a Text Banner, a Program Preview, and an Up Next Preview. The Speaker Timer counts UP from the moment the first cue of a run fires and keeps counting across the cues that follow, so a presenter can see how long they have been talking; Stop or PANIC resets it to zero. For an Image widget, click Choose in the inspector to pick the file; for a Text Banner, type the text in the inspector.

The Program Preview widget shows a live thumbnail of whatever is on the video output (video, image, text, or camera) mirrored the same way the Virtual Monitor mirrors output, so it tracks fades and overlays too. When nothing is on the output it stays black. Add it like any other widget and size it wherever you want the speaker (or operator) to see the program feed.

The Up Next Preview widget shows a static thumbnail of the next cue so you can see what's coming: a poster frame for a video cue, the picture for an image cue, or the rendered text for a text cue. Other cue types show a small labelled placeholder, and at the end of the list it shows "End of list". The thumbnail updates whenever the next cue changes.

#Full-screen output

To put the display on a second screen for the speaker:

Choose the screen from the Display menu in the toolbar.
Click Full Screen. The presenter display fills that screen.
Press Esc (or click Close Output) to take it down. It also closes automatically when you leave Presenter View.

The full-screen output mirrors your preview live, switching presets, editing the layout, or firing cues all update on the speaker's screen instantly.

#Notes / script

The Notes / Script widget shows the notes of the cue that is currently playing. Type a cue's notes in the cue's Notes field as usual; they appear in large type here.

#Control: Next / Back

Presenter View uses a simple linear transport built for a presenter remote. Press Next to stop whatever is currently running and play the next cue; press Back to stop and play the previous cue. It always plays one cue at a time, replacing what was on: there is no separate GO/arm step and follow/auto chains are not used to advance.

Keys (and a standard presenter remote):

Next: Page Down, Right Arrow, or the spacebar, or the Next button in the toolbar.
Back: Page Up or Left Arrow, or the Back button in the toolbar.

Disabled cues are skipped, and at the start or end of the list the button does nothing. There are no editing or routing controls in this mode.
