Show Settings

Show Settings (⌘,) holds the show-wide connections; the things that are true for every cue rather than for one. Five tabs:

#OSC

The OSC input port CueStudio 2 listens on, and the host and port it sends feedback to. The full list of incoming and outgoing addresses is on this page, each with an example you can copy with one click: paste it straight into TouchOSC or a console macro. This Mac's IP address is shown in the window header (with a copy button) so you can point a controller at it without hunting through System Settings.

#MIDI

The default MIDI output destination, the MIDI input triggering rule (message type, channel, number, and which source to listen to, with a live "last message received" readout for checking a controller is reaching CueStudio 2), and MIDI Show Control output, which sends MSC GO / STOP / RESUME / LOAD on cue transitions.

#Timecode

The default frame rate for generated timecode. A Timecode cue's own start time and duration are set on the cue itself.

#Audio

Panic fade: how long Escape / PANIC takes to fade everything out (0 = hard stop).
My Tuning Track: the audio file a Noise cue plays when its signal is set to "My tuning track". The file is copied into the show bundle.
Audition: the headphone-preview device and its volume, plus a test tone.

#DMX

Input: the universe to listen on, the trigger threshold a channel must cross to fire a cue, and the DMX channels that drive GO / Pause / Stop (0 = off). Output: the protocol (Art-Net or sACN E1.31), destination IP (Art-Net only, sACN multicasts), default universe, and the sACN source name and priority other devices see on the network. Lighting Network picks which physical interface Art-Net and sACN use — set this when the rig is on its own network.
